Having purchased a 1957 Chevrolet Pickup from the USA I needed the electrical wiring and components checked, repaired or replaced where necessary. Upon asking around Central Coast was highly recommended by a number of people in the local automotive service industry.

After an initial inspection Kim advised a complete re-wiring to ensure correct function of all components and to have a future trust in what is a 60 year old vehicle.

Kim was always professional, good humoured and friendly, allowing changes and additions as work progressed. He kept me informed through the process and made valuable suggestions when necessary. John was easily approachable and proffered experience and advice on parts and components.

Some physical changes were needed with the addition of Australian Standard lights, after market air conditioning, new gauges and the marrying of a new gauge cluster with custom parts. They were happy to work in and around these structural and mechanical custom repairs.

All work was completed to a high standard with a minimum of fuss.

I was always able to view my vehicle at various stages and have been able to return, at any time, for necessary follow up service at no charge.

Kim, John and Jimmy, as I experienced, have a great rapport with their customers, providing high quality auto electrical services with a personal touch.

Honesty and competence are two rare commodities these days. I have used John Cosgriff’s workshop to do all my electrical repairs for some years now. Recently, the key retractor spring in the key remote broke. John found out it cost $220 to get the new part, plus $30 for the locksmith to cut it. I saw John in Coles, and he told me he’d found some in NSW for $110 and would I Iike him to get one of those; naturally I said yes. He fixed it, got the locksmith to cut it, and charge me $180 all up. The point is that he COULD have charge $220, plus $30, plus $50, and I would probably never have found out. His honesty and friendly manner, plus his ability to pinpoint problems, mean I can recommend him with total confidence.
